Combing, or manipulating molten glass in the kiln, is one of the most exciting kiln processes. We will learn how to do it safely, with the goal of creating and completing a combed dish. We will also try our hand at high temperature melts such as pot and wire melts.
Here is a perfect opportunity to learn about high temperature firing in a safe, secure environments. In addition to two combing sessions, we’ll also learn about finishing our pieces and taking them from a flat blank to a final work of art.
Familiarity with glass cutting and with basic fusing and slumping techniques is recommended, but not essential.

Payment is required when you register for a class. When you register, we reserve that space and purchase supplies for you. Classes with guest artists are never refundable unless we can fill your space. To cover PayPal / credit card fees, a $25 processing fee will apply to any refund issued.
