The Bubble Up technique is created by arranging your glass in a way that air moves through the glass and creates clear spaces.
We’ll start by arranging and firing the glass to create clear areas in a particular pattern. The resulting pieces have a series of round clear areas, spaced either in lines or randomly throughout. Then we’ll use our bubble ups to create blanks to be slumped into a dish.
Students will create two different original pieces, using two different kinds of bubble up designs.
Familiarity with glass cutting and with basic fusing and slumping techniques is highly recommended.
This is a two-day class.

Payment is required when you register for a class. When you register, we reserve that space and purchase supplies for you. Classes with guest artists are never refundable unless we can fill your space. To cover PayPal / credit card fees, a $25 processing fee will apply to any refund issued.
